Need advice on downsizing to a condo in Toronto

I’m an Empty Nester looking to downsize from my house in Scarborough to a condo downtown. What are the best neighborhoods for a quieter lifestyle that still have access to amenities? I’ve seen listings around $2800 in the Distillery District, but not sure if it’s worth it. Any suggestions?
