Rental Market Blues: Can We Catch a Break Already?

Another rent increase, seriously? $400 more for my tiny one-bedroom?! How is anyone supposed to afford this? So sick of bidding wars, I just got outbid AGAIN. I viewed 15 places yesterday, and they were all gone within hours. This market is impossible! I'm losing hope.
