Need advice on March rentals near TTC subway lines!

I'm moving to Toronto next month and really need to be close to the subway for work. Any recommendations for neighborhoods with good transit access? I'm looking at places in East York and Bloor West, but I’m not sure about the rent prices. Is $2300 reasonable for a 1-bedroom? Thanks for your help!
