Is it normal to spend 90 minutes commuting?

My daily commute is a huge drain on my energy. I live in East York, and getting to my job downtown takes about 90 minutes, sometimes longer if there’s disruption on the subway. I never thought I’d spend so much time just getting to work. Anyone else feeling this pain?
