Thoughts on Queen West's rental scene?

I've been eyeing apartments on Queen West, and it feels like the vibe is shifting. Prices seem to be climbing, but the artsy atmosphere is still strong. Anyone know how much parking might tack on to the rent around here? I've heard it can be a pain to find spots.
