Need advice on finding a rental in Parkdale this spring!

Hey everyone, I'm moving to Toronto next month and looking for a rental in Parkdale. I've seen a few listings around $2100 for a 1-bedroom, but I'm not sure if that's reasonable for the area. Is it safe, and how's the community vibe? Any tips or experiences would really help!
