Weather nightmare on moving day - please share your tips!

Worst moving day ever! It snowed heavily on my moving day, and the moving truck got stuck halfway up the street! We had to unload half the boxes and carry them through the snow while trying to avoid slipping. Has anyone else had weather-related moving troubles? What did you do?
