My landlord insists on knitting wardrobe items for my dog!

Is it weird that my landlord has started knitting sweaters for my dog? Every time I pass them in the hallway, they say things like, 'Your pup needs a cozy look for spring!' I'm not complaining, but I can't help but wonder: is this normal landlord behavior, or am I the weird one here?
