Talk me out of this - Signing lease for $2400 basement apartment

I'm considering signing a lease for a $2400 basement apartment. It has decent space, but the lack of natural light and shared laundry for two units makes me hesitant. I’m worried about the commute since it’s a bit far from work. I need some convincing either way!
