Seeking Flexible Lease Options - Month-to-Month Needed

I'm facing an eviction and need urgent tenant rights guidance. I'm not sure about my future plans and really don't want to commit to a long lease. Are there landlords in Toronto who offer month-to-month leases or options to convert to monthly after a year? Any advice would be appreciated!
