Upstairs neighbor sounds like they're bowling at 3am. What to do?

I can hear my upstairs neighbor stomping around at all hours, and it’s really disrupting my sleep. It's especially bad around 3am lately. I'm feeling frustrated and unsure how to address this without causing more tension. Anyone dealt with something similar? What’s the best way to handle it?
