Confused about Pet Deposits in Ontario

Hey everyone! My landlord is asking for a pet deposit, but I've heard that might be illegal in Ontario. Can someone clarify if pet fees are allowed? What exactly can they charge for pets? I'm just trying to understand the whole pet rent and deposit situation. Thanks!
