What's the rental scene like in Leslieville?

I’ve been checking out Leslieville lately and really like its vibe! The cafés are super cute, and it's close to downtown for campus transit. How’s the rental market? Is it easy to find affordable places? Also, worried about roommate compatibility since living alone can get pricey!
