Help me decide: $2200 1BR in a busy neighborhood vs $1800 quiet area

I'm torn between renting a $2200 1BR in a vibrant area with lots of amenities and social life, or a $1800 place in a quiet neighborhood farther from work. The busier area has better nightlife, but I'm worried about noise and safety. I need a balance for my lifestyle—help me choose!
