Help me decide on a $2200 1BR in the city vs $1800 studio in the suburbs

I'm torn between a $2200 1BR in the city with a short commute and a $1800 studio in the suburbs that's bigger but further from work. I love the city vibe but worry about budget and space. I need someone to either validate my love for the city or talk me into the more affordable option.
