Curious about neighborhood safety in Toronto's downtown?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about moving to downtown Toronto but have some concerns about safety, especially at night. How secure are the buildings in this area? Also, any tips on preventing bike theft? Would love to hear your experiences!
