What size apartment is ideal for working from home?

I'm considering moving to Toronto and looking at apartments for WFH. How much space do I actually need? Is a dedicated office essential, or can I make do with a shared space? Can a studio be too small for productive work? Any insights on living arrangements for remote work would be great!
