Can I negotiate rent in the soft Toronto market of 2025?

With rentals sitting empty for weeks and no more bidding wars, I'm curious if it's reasonable to offer below the asking rent. Are landlords more open to negotiation in this softer market? What should I keep in mind when trying to negotiate my rent down?
