Landlord's Plant Watering Request - Weekly Quirkiness!

My landlord just asked me to water their plants every week while they’re away. It’s not a huge burden, but does anyone else think it’s a bit odd? I’m starting to feel like I should start sending them plant progress reports. Is this weird or am I the weird one?
