Talk me out of signing a $2300 lease in East York

I'm considering a $2300 rental for a 1BR in East York but worried about the trade-offs. While it’s great value for the space, I'm not sure about the longer commute to downtown. My budget is tight and I need a favorable commute for work. Thoughts on whether I should go for it or keep looking?
