Reality check question - Landlord wants weekly inspections, is this normal?

My landlord has informed me that they'll be entering the unit for 'inspections' every week. I feel uncomfortable with this and unsure if it's standard practice in Canada. Is this normal or am I being naive? Should I be worried about my privacy?
