Is my landlord asking for too much upfront in Toronto rents?

I'm confused about deposit limits when renting in Toronto. My landlord is asking for the first and last month’s rent, plus a damage deposit. Is this legal under the Ontario RTA? What are the maximum amounts they can request upfront? I want to make sure I understand my tenant rights.
