Help me decide: Downtown studio vs Leslieville 1BR - need advice

I'm torn between a $2100 studio in downtown and a $2200 1BR in Leslieville. The downtown place is close to my new job, but I'll be in a cramped space. Leslieville has a bit more room and a great vibe, but the commute will be longer. I need to decide soon, so please help me weigh the options!
