Rent Eating My Income Alive - Help!

I’m seriously stressed about how rent is eating up 50% of my income. The 30% rule feels completely impossible in Toronto! How can I afford $2400 a month on a $60k salary? It feels like I’m spending too much on rent and not living at all. Is anyone else in this boat?
