Frustrated with broken appliances - whose responsibility is it?

I’ve been dealing with a broken fridge for weeks, and my landlord won’t fix it! I’m new to Toronto and unsure about my rights. How fast must they respond to maintenance requests? What exactly are landlords obligated to repair? I’m tired of living with these issues. Help!
