Curious about rent-to-own offers - is this too good to be true?

I came across some rent-to-own condo offers in Toronto that sound promising, especially with rent credits applying towards the purchase. However, I'm a bit skeptical about the legitimacy of these deals. Can anyone share their experiences or insights? Is renters insurance truly mandatory here?
