Natural smoking policy question

I'm curious about the smoking policies in Toronto rentals, specifically regarding cannabis and vaping. Can landlords implement a complete ban on smoking in their buildings? Are there designated smoking areas, and is balcony smoking permitted? It would be great to understand how these rules vary.
