How's the commute from 3390 Keele St to downtown, any insights?

I'm considering moving to 3390 Keele St and want to know about the TTC options for commuting downtown. Is it a manageable ride to Union Station? Also, how walkable is the area day-to-day, especially for errands and pet walks?
