How's the commute from 2015 Lawrence Ave E to downtown, manageable?

Hey folks, I'm considering moving to 2015 Lawrence Ave E and I rely heavily on public transit. Can anyone share their experience commuting to downtown from there? Is the TTC usually reliable for a smooth ride to Union Station? Any tips on walkability and nearby transit options would be appreciated!
