How's the vibe around 2101 Islington Ave

I'm new to Toronto and considering renting at 2101 Islington Ave. I'm curious about the local vibe and community feel. Is it walkable for day-to-day stuff like groceries? Also, how's transit access around there for getting into the downtown area? Any info would be awesome!
