Landlord's strange gift – a weekly surprise!

So, my landlord has started leaving random household items at my door every Thursday. Last week it was a vintage lamp, and this week it was a giant rubber duck! Not sure if this is a kindness or a scavenger hunt, but I’m both amused and confused. Anyone else have a quirky landlord like this?
