What's the rental scene like in Parkdale?

I've been keeping an eye on Parkdale lately and it seems like a cool spot with a diverse vibe. The rent is still somewhat affordable compared to the rest of the city, but I wonder how long that will last with all the new condos popping up. Anyone have tips on finding a decent place here?
