Thinking of renting near 365 Parliament St, is the area worth it?

I've been checking out 365 Parliament St and really like the vibe of the area, but I want to hear from others who live or have lived nearby. How's the transit around here, especially with the bus routes on Gerrard? Also, any favorite local spots for groceries or eats?
