Landlord wants to enter every week for inspections - is this normal?

I've been renting for a year, and my landlord now wants to come by weekly for 'inspections.' They say it’s for maintenance, but I feel uncomfortable with this level of access. Is this even legal, or should I be worried? Red flag or am I overreacting?
