Downsizing after kids moved out - need housing advice

With my kids flying the nest, I'm now contemplating downsizing from our family home to a smaller condo. I've never navigated a transition like this before and feel overwhelmed. Anyone have tips on finding the right place or adjusting to a smaller space? Would love to hear your experiences.
