Frustrated with pet-friendly apartment hunting in Toronto

Just need to vent real quick. I'm so burnt out from searching for a pet-friendly place. Every time I finally find a listing that seems great, the competition is wild, and I'm losing hope. Why is it so hard to find a decent rental that welcomes pets in this city? It's exhausting.
