Public transit near 2178 Queen St E, honest take?

I'm a recent grad starting my first job in the city, and I'm looking at 2178 Queen St E. How's the TTC around there for getting downtown? Also, is it walkable for daily errands? I want to live car-free and need some insight from locals!
