The Rental Market is a Joke - Can Someone Explain This?!

Another rent increase, seriously? How is anyone supposed to afford $2800 for a ONE-BEDROOM?! I've viewed 15 places this week, all gone within hours. Just got outbid AGAIN! This market is impossible to navigate, and I'm so sick of landlords treating us like cash cows. It's beyond frustrating!
