How's the commute from 725 Eglinton Ave W to downtown, manageable?

I'm considering moving to 725 Eglinton Ave W and I'm curious about the daily commute to downtown. How long does it usually take on the TTC? Also, is it easy to live car-free around here with good access to transit and walkable amenities?
