Just lost another rental - the bidding wars are insane!

I can't believe it—I just got outbid on a place again! Someone offered $300 over asking. How is anyone affording these crazy prices? It feels like I'm supposed to play a game where the rules keep changing. Anyone else struggling with this madness? Need some advice!
