6 Glamorgan Ave near transit and parks, what's the local scene like?

Looking at 6 Glamorgan Ave and can't help but notice the nearby parks and access to the TTC. How walkable is the area for day-to-day errands? Any cool cafes or local spots you'd recommend around there? I'm curious about the community feel too.
