How is anyone affording $2400 rents in Toronto in 2025?

The average 1BR rent in Toronto has hit $2400, and it's becoming impossible to find anything under $2000. I've been looking for three months and lost multiple bids to cash offers and numerous applicants. It feels like this city is pricing out anyone who doesn't make over $100k!
