Landlord's Unusual Summer Greetings: Pool Noodle Edition

So, my landlord apparently thinks summer should be celebrated in style! They've started leaving colorful pool noodles at our doors as a quirky way to say hello. Not quite sure how to react – do I use them for a float or just enjoy the random cheer? Is this weird or just summer fun?
