Why is rent in Toronto a never-ending nightmare?!

Another rent increase, seriously? I just saw a two-bedroom going for $3200! How is anyone supposed to afford this? I'm so sick of bidding wars, I just got outbid AGAIN! I can’t believe I viewed 15 places, and they were all gone within hours. This market is impossible!
