Landlord's Weird Gift: Random Fruit Delivery

Every week, my landlord leaves a random selection of fruit at my door. One week it's avocados, the next it's kiwis. Is this some kind of fruit appreciation club? It's sweet, but I can’t tell if I should be grateful or confused. Anyone else have a quirky landlord habit like this?
