Just stumbled on 420 Eglinton Ave E and curious about the area perks

I'm looking at 420 Eglinton Ave E as my first place after graduation. I love the idea of being close to transit. How walkable is this area for groceries and cafes? Any local hangouts that are must-tries? I'm into exploring and want to be part of a lively community.
