How do people afford rent on minimum wage in Toronto?

I'm seriously stressed about my lease ending soon and finding a place. With minimum wage rent skyrocketing, I can't afford anything decent. How do people survive on low income in Toronto? Any tips or advice for making ends meet would be greatly appreciated!
