Is 36 Maitland St good for a quick commute downtown via TTC?

I'm looking at 36 Maitland St and wondering about my daily commute to downtown. How easy is it to get to a subway station or streetcar stop from here? Also, are bike lanes around for cycling to work? Just trying to figure out if this spot suits my car-free lifestyle!
