Searching for a 2 bedroom in Toronto under $2500

I'm a first-time renter in Toronto and I'm looking for a 2 bedroom apartment under $2500/month. Can anyone suggest decent areas where I might find a 2BR under 2500? Also, what should I know about deposits and leases? Any tips for viewing apartments would be appreciated too!
