Thoughts on 5430 Yonge St and the surrounding area?

I'm really intrigued by 5430 Yonge St and how it seems to have good access to transit. Can anyone share insight on local restaurants or grocery stores nearby? Also, what's the neighborhood character like? I'm hoping for a friendly but vibrant community feel!
